Its sort of an advert for a very old British horror film called Sweeny Todd starring the actor Tod Slaughter. Pathe was a news reel shown in cinemas as part of the program…it showed world events, sporting news etc and bits like this were specially recorded by film companies to promote forthcoming releases.

Has anyone noticed the decided resemblance between Michael Palin (Monty Python) and Tod Slaughter? Especially in the Python skit where Michael plays a murderous demon barber. I’ve been trying to find out if Michael is related to Tod.
